Ya know in thinking this morning there are always winds of change and resisting forces no matter what area we look.  Change, one of our constants in life, seems to scare many of us into inactivity or reminiscing about the "good ol'" days.  Some of the good ol' days of my life included laboriously using libraries, 8 tracks and cassettes.  Typing on what I felt was advanced for the time, an IBM selectric.  I am now glad all of these things are gone as this monring I continue my journey of loading half the earth's music into an Ipod so my wife can listen to her music while she walks or works out.  Amazing and I have embraced it.  Not to the extent I desire and things are moving so fast that by the time we understand the current thing it is moving on to the next thing.  Love it here folks!  Anything to free up more of our personal time that we do with as we please instead of time always committed to something that in the end will mean nothing.  The resistance to change I think comes from peoples unwillingness to embrace the change and also get comfortable with it.  There are always excuses for mediocrity.  The market is ripe for what Jean Paul Getty is credited with coinging, I buy when people are selling and I sell when people are buying..."  Real Estate is starting to get ripe for buy and hold for a few years for large returns.  Underneath this all, remember the earth's populace is growing at an alarming pace and they will need a place to live and there is no more land being deveoped outside of Hawaii and around the volcanos which will take 10,000 years to be usable.  Land mass is stying stagnant and population is growing.  The earth is now a spiderweb of cooperation and trade, embrace it and love life.  This morning as I ponder I find that most people are kind, compassionate and caring.  Others are fearful or greedy.  In it all God reigns supreme and He knows each of us intimately and if we will reach out to Him, we will find Peace.

Humans are so dang smart...  We have immense capability in so many areas, whether it be creative thought, memory or awareness.  Once we are given the environment to be able to free our heads up, creativity is spurred to new heights if we will simply ask ourselves solution questions.  Blame shifting stalls not only creativity, but all of humanity in its forward motion.  Blame shifting kills time and time is the one asset we do not get to replace once it is used.  Excuses, well like assholes, they all stink.  Truth does not need excuse, but truth needs to be defended.  People may ask what is truth, and stare into space as if there is none, but TRUTH does exist and to most of us it is a given.  I do not want to ever mistake my freedom here in America  for truly being FREE.  We are all free at all times no matter what.  Reality is tied to experience but it is not experience.  None hold all truth or even a small portion of it, or maybe we do and just cannot recall it!  Thankful people are so much more pleasing to be around.  Positive people are so much more pleasurable to be around.  Positivity spreads like a wildfire.  On the polar opposite though so does negativity.  I want to continually challenge myself to be a better person and to contribute and give more to myself and my fellow man.  I want to strive to be the best that I can in all things.  I do not ever want to settle for mediocrity.  I am driven, but I acknowledge that it appears that most others are not  as driven, but it makes them no less human. 

Today the fires rage here in CA.  These will probably be the worst of all fires I have ever witnessed as a Native Californian (yes I do have Indian in me, so I can say that).  My heart and prayers go to all of us who are impacted in whatever way by this situation.   PYROS make me sick.  I have noticed that almost every time the Santa Ana winds blow, that pyros go about lighting fires.  Pyros should spend a lifetime behind bars.  I thought this morning that even if I were to lose everything in a fire, I would still have my loved ones, friends and myself.  The possessions, though we place such high emotion attached to them will all fade away eventually anyways.  How many of us have anything in our possession that was from three generations back?  Houses fall to decay or development.  Memories are cherished and those are  ours to keep, well unless we end up with Alzheimer's.  Friendships have always meant a ton to me.  I know over my existence that in one form or another i have "burned" friends, but this was never intentional if I did.  Friends to me have been people I would lay down my life for...  I am convinced today, due to my situation with my dead partner's wife over a business venture, that some people do not even have the slightest idea of what friendship is or means.  I do not like people who manipulate things according to their narrow perspective, especially when the perspectives are filled with prejudiced unresearched, undocumented and primarily selfish ideas.   Money is not the root of all evil, THE LOVE OF MONEY IS.  Greed kills people and destroys friendships.  Hey we all gotta make a living and I understand that, but if your living is to be built upon the destruction of others, what is it worth.   How about working hard for something, going after a dream and doing it with 100% clear conscience towards God.  Once day we will all give account and on that day it says that we ALL shall stand before Him naked.  What will your testimony be?

Many things have gotten under my skin this year.  Politics is really bothering me as we have a bunch of drones in each party to choose from and it appears that instead of serving the masses in their desires whoever is elected will continue to serve themselves and their interests.   No one seems to be  a leader, they are all followers.  No one appears to have any new ideas.  Iraq, how long will we continue to feel that we can change or solve this regions problems?  Who elected us "big Brother?"   Over the past two years I have done a lot of flying and honestly going thru those detectors and taking my shoes off does not make me feel one bit safer.  I think locked cockpit safety doors helped us more than anything and as a society we will never be able to stop kamakazi type single or multiple attacks.  Didn't we learn from Pearl Harbor?  I am for ONE LANGUAGE hear in America.  As I have traveled in other countries, they all use one language and their signs are in their cultures lingo.  Do we honestly feel we are going to be able to appease everyone?  Can you say Tower of Babel, even if you do not feel there is any truth to it, it still makes sense!  I am fat and need to lose some pounds.  As I have worked with seniors these past 12 years, I have noticed that the ones who live longest are the leanest.  I am beginning to lift some weights again and need to recommit to walking with my wife.   I do not hate anyone and I do not feel I was born with that capability.  I am forgiving and kind.  I love to help people.  May God continue to bless us all as we bless others!
